About College Dean
Associate Professor Jaido Zarceno holds an Executive Doctorate in Leadership – Education, a Master’s in Innovative Technology Education, and has completed his Master’s in Electrical Engineering, specializing in Instrumentation and Control. He also earned a Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the University of St. La Salle.
In addition to his academic achievements, his professional credentials include certification as an Instrumentation and Control Engineer from the Philippine Instrumentation and Control Society, registration as a PRC Electronics and Communication Technician, and TESDA certifications in Instrumentation and Control Servicing (NC II-III) and Mechatronics Servicing (NC II and NC III).
Assoc. Prof. Zarceno is a distinguished leader and academic with a strong record in engineering, education, and technology. He has been a multi-awarded President of the Rotary Club of Pasay Sinagtala District 3810 and the youngest National President of the Philippine Instrumentation and Control Society. His influence extends internationally through memberships in the International Society for Automation and the Forum for East Asia Latin America Cooperation.
He has made notable contributions as a national judge for robotics and mechatronics competitions, coach for national quiz bees, and technical expert in developing TESDA training regulations. As an International Scholar at Nanyang Technological University, he bridges global education and industry standards.
Assoc. Prof. Zarceno has also served as a quiz master, accreditor, industry lecturer, engineering consultant, and TESDA-accredited trainer and assessor. His work continues to inspire and shape the future of engineering and education.

About College Secretary
Assistant Professor Cleofe Alan is a licensed Electronics and Communication Engineer from Adamson University. She holds a Master’s Degree in Innovative Technology Education from the University of Makati and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Philosophy in Technology Management at the Technological University of the Philippines.
Asst. Prof. Alan has been serving as the College Secretary of the College of Engineering Technology, formerly known as the College of Technology Management (CTM), since 2021, and has been a dedicated faculty member of CTM since 2015. Prior to her academic career, she gained valuable industry experience as an Assistant Supervisor at NIDEC Philippines in Subic, Olongapo City, and SCAD Services Pte. Ltd. in Cavite, where she led teams in achieving specific goals, strengthening her leadership skills, and enhancing her ability to manage people. Additionally, she acquired hands-on technical experience as a Line Technician at Yong Sung Electronics Inc.
She is also an active member of the Institute of Electronics Engineers of the Philippines and remains committed to professional growth and industry development.

About
Assistant Professor Dennis Montealegre earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Building Management Technology from the University of Makati, where he also developed his technical, social, and management skills. He continued his educational journey with a Master’s in Innovation Technology Education and has completed the academic requirements for a Doctorate in Educational Management, focusing on educational and organizational management and excellence in institutions.
He is a distinguished academic leader currently serving as the Department Chair of the College of Engineering Technology. His responsibilities include overseeing the implementation and evaluation of the department’s programs, policies, curriculum, faculty, and staff effectiveness.
As the OJT, Placement, and Networks and Linkages Director of the college, he plays a crucial role in fostering partnerships between academia and industry, ensuring that students gain valuable hands-on experience and improve their employability. He is also a TESDA National Certificate holder in various fields, including Welding, Heating, Air Conditioning, and Ventilation, Driving, and Building Wiring Technician.
With his expertise in multidisciplinary skills, Professor Montealegre is dedicated to guiding students and faculty in innovation, prototyping, and capstone projects. He encourages the development of cutting-edge research and solutions with a focus on social development and environmental responsibility.
His leadership continues to drive academic excellence and strengthen industry collaboration at UMak.
