Assistant Professor Dennis Montealegre earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Building Management Technology from the University of Makati, where he also developed his technical, social, and management skills. He continued his educational journey with a Master’s in Innovation Technology Education and has completed the academic requirements for a Doctorate in Educational Management, focusing on educational and organizational management and excellence in institutions.
He is a distinguished academic leader currently serving as the Department Chair of the College of Engineering Technology. His responsibilities include overseeing the implementation and evaluation of the department’s programs, policies, curriculum, faculty, and staff effectiveness.
As the OJT, Placement, and Networks and Linkages Director of the college, he plays a crucial role in fostering partnerships between academia and industry, ensuring that students gain valuable hands-on experience and improve their employability. He is also a TESDA National Certificate holder in various fields, including Welding, Heating, Air Conditioning, and Ventilation, Driving, and Building Wiring Technician.
With his expertise in multidisciplinary skills, Professor Montealegre is dedicated to guiding students and faculty in innovation, prototyping, and capstone projects. He encourages the development of cutting-edge research and solutions with a focus on social development and environmental responsibility.
