Associate Professor Tessie Sagadraca, MA

Associate Professor Tessie Tapiador-Sagadraca holds an MA degree and PhD candidate in Curriculum Design, Development, and Supervision from St. Paul University Manila. She academically completed an MA in Education, majoring in Social Studies at the University of the Philippines, Diliman. A Bachelor of Science in Education major in Communication Arts in English and minor in Social Studies graduate of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila. Her quarter of a century at the University of Makati was spent as a faculty member and Chairperson of the Department of Social Sciences, Philosophy, and Humanities.

Dean Babaylan to her colleagues and former students is an adept facilitator of the learning process, curriculum designer, implementer, evaluator, educational researcher, writer, lecturer, and speaker (national and international). Her international engagements include Visiting Professor at Lingnan Normal University, Zhanjiang, China; Education Consultant for Canada Famous Maple International Education Group; Guest Lecturer for the Osaka Board of Educators and With The World.

Some of the book titles and research she authored are Rizal the Icon; Global Science and Society; UMak Senior High School Textbook; Community Journey: Building Nation, Building Hope; Citizenship Education: A Journey to Community Building; Educational Technology in Cooperative Learning: Implications in the Technological Society; The Use of Importance- Performance Analysis in Evaluating Student Satisfaction in the University of Makati; and A Reflective Review of the General Education Course Gender and Society in the University of Makati. Her research interests are gender, women and children, curriculum, project monitoring and assessment, child labor, inclusive education, environmental justice, transnational actors, and UNSDGs. She has presented her studies at Harvard University, Boston, Massachusetts, USA; Kobe Art Museum, Kobe, Japan; University of California, Los Angeles, USA; Chiang Mai University, Thailand; Lingnan Normal University, China, and University of the Philippines Diliman and Los Banos.
