The Institute of Psychology at the University of Makati is dedicated to the holistic development of our students through a comprehensive psychology program.

The Bachelor of Science in Psychology (BS Psychology) is a four-year degree program that explores how humans think and behave. By taking this course, you will learn to conduct and interpret various tests, such as those evaluating a person’s intelligence (IQ tests), skills (aptitude tests), and personality (personality tests). You will also learn to apply your findings in different settings, including education, business, and public service.

About Institute Dean

Associate Professor Francisco Lambojon Jr. is a licensed Registered Psychologist with over three decades of expertise in psychology, education, and community development. He holds an M.A. in Psychology, and a Doctor of Education in Educational Administration from Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila and B.S. in Psychology from St. Joseph’s College. He is also certified in Massage Therapy by DOH and TESDA.

Before joining the University of Makati, he served as Director of the Office of Student Affairs and Head Registrar at STI College Cubao and taught Psychology and Philosophy at Far Eastern University, STI College, and Colegio de San Juan de Letran.

He started teaching at the university in 2014, advancing through the academic ranks. In addition to teaching, he has served as a Research Reviewer for the University Research Ethics Committee and facilitated extension programs on community development, mental health, and life skills training.

Assoc. Prof. Lambojon is a dedicated community advocate, serving as a Facilitator and Trainer for workshops on organic farming, mental health, parenting, and environmental conservation. His leadership in initiatives like the Adopt-a-Community Program in Makati Homeville and life skills training for Makati Youth Home house parents demonstrates his commitment to uplifting communities. He has also worked with indigenous groups, providing psychological first-aid training.

Renowned for his dedication to both academia and community service, Assoc. Prof. Lambojon has made significant contributions through teaching, leadership, research, and extension work.

About Institute Secretary

Associate Professor Aries Reydel Marasigan is a distinguished educator, healthcare professional, and academic leader dedicated to fostering excellence in education and student development. Holding a Doctorate in Educational Management from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines and a Master’s in Nursing from the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, he has skillfully integrated his expertise in healthcare and education throughout his career. He is a Registered Nurse and a licensed professional teacher specializing in Biological Science.

In his administrative career, Assoc. Prof. Marasigan has served in key roles, including Associate Dean of Student Affairs at the Universidad de Manila and College Secretary and Institute Secretary at the College of Science and Institute of Psychology at the University of Makati. His commitment to student success has earned him recognition as an Outstanding Faculty member and one of the best presenters at a national research conference hosted by the Network of Evaluators and Multidisciplinary Professionals for Research, Extension, and Development, Incorporated.

Alongside his professional achievements, he values his role as a father and draws inspiration from his love for family, which further strengthens his dedication to supporting students and fostering positive educational environments. He remains committed to ongoing learning and development within academic institutions, continually enhancing his contributions to allied health and education.
