ISDNB is the institute in-charge of the delivery of the National Service Training Program which is designed to enhance the civic consciousness of students by developing the value and commitment to the welfare and betterment of the lives of all community members.

It also aims to strengthen the students’ participation in the program and activities intended to uplift the different dimensions of development. NSTP1 programs are consist of seven (7) dimensions, namely:

Safety and Security;
Education;
Recreation;
Values Formation and Moral Recovery;
Industry and Entrepreneurship;
Care for Health; and
Environmental Awareness.

The NSTP2 (Community Immersion) is intended for community exposure and for implementation of community plans and projects which will develop the student’s value of volunteerism, commitment and resourcefulness. Furthermore, both NSTP 1 and 2 are committed to imbibe good citizenship values of being maka-Diyos, makatao, maka-kalikasan, and maka-bansa.

Core Values

The core values of ISDNB enumerated below were based on the promotion of Filipino values embodied in the Preamble of the 1987 Constitution.

Maka-Diyos Is the value of Filipinos that shows their faith in God who is their source of perseverance and courage in facing obstacles in life. As a core value, ISDNB is committed to instill to the students the essence of spiritual life in nation building.

Makatao Is the value of Filipinos in the promotion and practice of truth, justice, freedom, equality, and peace. These are the adopted by the ISDNB to enhance and/or develop among students the importance of responsibility and commitment, respect of people’s culture, community spirit, compassion, unity and vigilance.

Maka-Kalikasan Is the concern and love for the environment which specifically concern with the conservation and development of the nation’s patrimony. As a core value in the ISDNB curriculum, students are encouraged to help green the Land, clean the Air, and freshen the Water (LAW).

Maka-bansa Is the Filipino values which emphasis is on respect for law, the government of the Republic of the Philippines and its instrumentalities, patriotism, promotion of the common good, and building a just and humane society. As an ISDNB core value, students are encouraged to promote and practice fairness, love of country and respect for human dignity, and obedience to the law.

Vision

ISDNB envisioned to be the provider of effective educational programs in citizenship formation, socio-civic actions, public safety preparedness, and community development initiatives to the young Filipino people to inspire them be committed and responsible citizens in the service of their fellowmen and as future builders of the nation.

Mission

ISDNB is committed for a responsible facilitation of quality instructional delivery and develop ethics of service through campus activities, industry and community partnerships and initiatives that would develop and/or enhance students’ knowledge and skills as applied to community development and social progress.

Course Offerings

BACCALAUREATE DEGREE

Bachelor of Science in Social Work (BSSW)
Program is geared towards the preparation of students for generalist social work practice. Professional education in social work requires the acquisition and application of beginning level of knowledge, attitudes, values and skills in enhancing the social functioning of individuals, families, groups and communities, linking people with needed resources, improving the operation of social service delivery networks, and promoting social justice through organizing and advocacy.
Bachelor of Science in Disaster Risk Management (BSDRM)
a four-year degree program intended for individuals who would like to pursue a career in disaster risk reduction management applied to public and private organizations, local communities, in the national and international agencies that in need of personnel to handle their disaster risk management program.
