Dr. Dennis A. Sandoval, ACPA, CMC, CPA was named as one of the pioneering batches of Association of Southeast Asian Nations’ Chartered Professional Accountants (ASEAN CPAs) last July 31, 2021 by the Professional Regulatory Board of Accountancy (PRBOA) of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC). This is the first batch from the Philippines with a total of ninety-six (96) ASEAN CPAs.
He received the B.S. in Accountancy degree as a University Scholar from De La Salle University in 1993, M.B.A. degree in 1999 from Ateneo de Manila University in 1999, Doctor in Business Management degree from the Philippine Women’s University in 2008, and PhD in Educational Management from St. Jude College-Manila in 2014.
He has held deanship positions in the Schools of Business of three universities in Manila, Caloocan, and Quezon City, and has been an Acting Vice President of a university up to May, 2020. He is a lecturer in the undergraduate and graduate levels of accounting, tax, and finance courses in a few colleges and universities in Manila and Quezon City for the past 27 years.He also serves as a CPA and CMA review coach for the past 21 years. He joined the University of Makati as professorial lecturer last August 2020
During the early parts of his career, he was with Equitable Banking Corporation and Joaquin Cunanan & Company. Last 2013, he was awarded as the “Outstanding Faculty in the Field of Finance” by the Philippine Council of Deans and Educators of Business. He was also conferred “International Visiting Professorial Lecturer “by Royal Institution-Singapore last 2015 and “Diplomate in Business Education” by the Philippine Academy of Professionals in Business Education last 2016.
He has served as Vice-President in three professional organizations for business educators (PCDEB, PACSB, and ACLADEB) and was the Vice-President -Professional Development of the Philippine Association of Management Accountants (PAMA) for two years. He is a Certified Management Consultant, an ASEAN Chartered Professional Accountant, and a Certified Public Accountant by profession. He is married to Liezel Tria and is blessed with two daughters, Therese and Thea.
