The beginning of 2022 has blessed the University of Makati with another year of excellence with back-to-back licensure examination top-notchers. Last February 15, 2022, on behalf of the University of Makati community, the Management Committee led by OIC President and concurrent VPAA, Dr. Elyxzur C. Ramos and College of Allied Health Studies Dean, Dr. Maria Fay Nanette Cariaga, recognized our Heron top-notchers from the College of Allied Health Studies.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ending with the Future in Mind: UMak’s Year-End Convocation 2021

With the theme “A Phase to Face Hope”, the Annual University Year-End Convocation of the University of Makati was held virtually last December 16, 2021, via Zoom. The program was designed both to celebrate another successful year of the University and to fully grasp the learnings from this year to effectively project and implement it to our future journey as an institution.

CCMD 2021 Webinars

Being lifelong learners, UMak and HSU faculty are continuously supported and given opportunities to grow as academicians and scholars. The Center for Curriculum and Materials Development launched two essential webinars for our 21st century educators on research mentoring and instructional design. Opening the webinar series was Prof. Rey S. Medenilla with his short message emphasizing how these programs intend to support and aide our academic community.

21 Years of Strengthening Partnerships: UMak’s Industry Partners Recognition Day 2021

 

 

 

One of the most significant legacies of the late President, Professor Tomas B. Lopez, Jr, is the Industry Partners Recognition Day (IPRD).  Even with his passing, UMak continues to honor this yearly event and fittingly so on November 24, 2021 – his birthday.

Filipinos are known to be resilient but the year 2020 brought a different dimension to hardship, not just for Filipinos but for almost everyone around the world because of the global pandemic. The unprecedented health crisis changed people’s lives overnight as restrictions and protocols gave rise to the so-called “new normal,” testing the limits of Pinoy resilience.
