Forging Futures: Internship partnership meeting held with AutoLoan, Landers, and Prime Meridian

AutoLoan Express PH, Landers Superstore, and Prime Meridian HR Consultancy partners

A pivotal internship meeting was conducted with representatives from AutoLoan Express PH, Landers Superstore, and Prime Meridian HR Consultancy on Aug. 20.  The collaborative session with the College of Business and Financial Science, the College of Computing and Information Sciences, and the Institute of Accountancy was aimed at exploring how these leading organizations are shaping their internship programs to prepare interns for the demands of the modern workforce. 

The meeting provided a comprehensive overview of each company’s profile, their approach to intern development, and the mutual benefits of their internship programs.  Each of these potential host training establishments highlighted their commitment to, not only providing valuable internship experiences but also, ensuring that their interns are prepared for future employment.

AutoLoan Express PH emphasizes a structured learning path with clear milestones, providing interns with a solid foundation in financial services and practical experience that aligns with industry standards.  Landers Superstore integrates interns into their daily operations, offering a holistic view of the retail environment and fostering skills in customer service and operational management.  Prime Meridian HR Consultancy combines detailed industry training with hands-on experience, helping interns understand complex insurance concepts and develop a strong professional acumen. 

The meeting was a productive step towards establishing a long-term and robust internship partnership between UMak and these three establishments.  The collaboration promises to benefit all parties involved, creating pathways for students to gain valuable industry experience, while supporting the talent needs of the participating organizations.
