UMak explores collaborative opportunities with UP Baguio
University of the Philippines Baguio Chancellor, Prof. Joel Addawe; Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Prof. Alipio Garcia; and Vice Chancellor for Administration, Prof. Jerico Bacani welcomed the University of Makati delegation led by Vice President for Student Services and Community Development, Mr. Vigilio Tabbu during its visit as part of UMak’s Annual Program Review and Planning Conference.
The benchmarking visit facilitated discussions on potential collaborations in Indigenous studies, faculty engagement, and research. Key topics included general education courses, student policies, faculty promotion and development, and unique programs at UMak that could open avenues for future partnerships with UP Baguio.
The discussion was further enriched by the participation of UP Baguio College of Arts and Communication Dean, Asst. Prof. Io Jularbal; College of Science Dean, Prof. Gilbert Peralta; and Cordillera Studies Center Director, Prof. Leah Abayao.
