UMak Officials and Leaders Visit DEU

Located at the foot of rolling Mt. Umgwang in Busan, Dong-Eui University (DEU) offers a scenic and dramatic view of the city lights and skyscrapers by night.

This is one of the reasons why UMak officials, led by President Elyxzur Ramos, did not miss the opportunity to accept the invitation of DEU’s Business School Dean Rhee Kyong Gu to visit and tour this partner University’s lush and green campus while they were in Busan for another partner meeting on Monday, September 23, 2024.

Dean Rhee was joined by Fortune Star Education and Scholarship Chairperson Lee Charles. Fortune Star is the authorized agent of DEU in the Philippines.

President Ramos was joined by Vice President for Administration Jewel Bulos, Vice President for Student Services and Community Development Virgilio Tabbu, Center for Quality Management and Development Director Henry Magat, and Center for Linkages and Placement Director Cynthia Jose.

DEU and UMak College of Continuing, Advanced and Professional Studies signed a Memorandum of Understanding last March to jointly develop and operate an Academic Management Program for Korean business executives and professionals in the Philippines, targeted for launch next school year. Other possible areas of collaboration include research, training, and resource exchange, among others.
