  4. Tuition/Token Fee for the semester being applied for is NOT yet paid
  5. Excellent behavior from the time of admission to the University up to the present

Step 2. Click the “Apply for Tuition/Token Fee Exemption” button
AFTER saving your class schedule, click the “Apply for Tuition/Token Fee Exemption” button.


Choose the type of tuition/token fee exemption you are qualified to apply for. Take note of the requirements. Then, click the “Submit” button.


Step 3. Log in to your UMak email account
Check your inbox/spam folder for the email which contains your pre-filled Tuition/Token Fee Exemption Application Form and the link where to submit your requirements online.


Step 4. Submit your complete application requirements online
Click the link for the submission of your requirements sent to your UMak email and fill-out and submit the Google Form.

NOTE: ALL application requirements must be submitted ONLINE THROUGH THE LINK provided in your email.


Step 5. Wait

The application process takes one (1) to two (2) working days for the applicants who have met the requirements. Updates regarding your application will be sent to your UMak email. Please check your email regularly. If there is a need for you to follow-up your application, please exercise courteous communication.

For undergraduate students:

Once your application is approved (or disapproved), log in to your OLEA account and access the Scan To Pay (“click here” button) to proceed with your enrollment.

For graduate school students:

Kindly wait for your Certificate of Registration (C.O.R.) to be sent to your UMak email address.

For Incoming Freshmen

Full Entrance Token Fee Exemption Grant is awarded to both Makati and non-Makati residents who have graduated with a Highest Honor award (GWA within 98 to 100) in Senior High School. THIS IS APPLICABLE FOR INCOMING FRESHMEN ONLY.

Requirements:

  3. Certification of having a “Highest Honor” award in Senior High School (GWA within 98-100)

Partial Entrance Token Fee Exemption Grant is awarded to both Makati and non-Makati residents who have graduated with a High Honor award (GWA within 95 to 97) in Senior High School. THIS IS APPLICABLE FOR INCOMING FRESHMEN ONLY.

Requirements:

Specific Requirements (in addition to the Basic Requirements):

  1. Incoming freshmen
  2. 1st and 2nd Semester Grade 12 Senior High School Card
  3. Certification of having a “High Honor” award in Senior High School (GWA within 95-97)

The granting of this tuition/token fee exemption is pursuant to Art. 203 (1) of the Implementing Rules and Regulations of the Local Government Code of 1991. Full tuition/token fee exemptions for graduate and undergraduate programs are granted.

Requirements:

Specific Requirements (in addition to the Basic Requirements):

  1. 1st and 2nd Semester Grade 12 Card (for Freshmen) or Report of Grades of the previous semester
  2. Endorsement from the Department of Interior and Local Government Makati (DILG Makati); Continuing applicants need to submit this only ONCE EVERY academic year.

This special study grant is pursuant to Makati City Ordinance No. 2017-063 and is open to the residents of Makati ages 70 or above, who are endorsed by the Senior Citizens’ Affairs Office (OSCA) – City Government of Makati for the said grant. Full tuition/token fee exemptions for undergraduate and graduate programs are granted.

Requirements:

  1. At least seventy (70) years of age at the time of application
  2. 1st and 2nd Semester Grade 12 Senior High School Card (for Freshmen) or Report of Grades of the previous semester
  3. Senior Citizen’s ID
  4. Endorsement from the Office of the Senior Citizens’ Affairs (OSCA) (for new applicants only)

Maritime Scholarship is the type of token fee exemption being applied for by and applicable only to all the undergraduate students of the College of Maritime Leadership Innovation. Full token fee exemption is granted.

Requirements:

Specific Requirements (in addition to the Basic Requirements):

  1. 1st and 2nd Semester Grade 12 Senior High School Card (for Freshmen) or Report of Grades of the previous semester
  2. Endorsement from the College Dean

This special study grant is pursuant to Presidential Decree 577 and is open to students who are dependents of military personnel who died or were incapacitated in the line of duty. Full token fee exemptions for undergraduate programs are granted.

Requirements:

Specific Requirements (in addition to the Basic Requirements):

  1. 1st and 2nd Semester Grade 12 Senior High School Card (for Freshmen) or Report of Grades of the previous semester
  2. ID or certificate from the AFP that the applicant is a beneficiary

This is a special grant for non-residents of Makati who wish to study and take up any UMak college program/degree under the Sisterhood Program of the City Government of Makati. Full token fee exemptions for undergraduate programs are granted.

Requirements:

  1. 1st and 2nd Semester Grade 12 Senior High School Card (for Freshmen) or Report of Grades of the previous semester
  2. GWA of at least 2.00, with no grades lower than 3.0 in all the academic courses

The University awards this tuition/token fee exemption to improve the quality of teaching and services in UMak. Regular employees and casual employees with at least one (1) year of service may apply. Students in the undergraduate programs who are dependents of regular employees with at least one (1) year of service may apply. Full tuition/token fee exemptions for undergraduate and graduate programs are granted.

Chorale Token Fee Exemption Grant is awarded to students who are members of the UMak Chorale as endorsed by the Center of Culture and the Arts (CCA). Full token fee exemption is granted.

Requirements:

Corps of Sponsors Token Fee Exemption Grant is awarded to students who are members of the UMak NROTC Corps of Sponsors as endorsed by the Center for NSTP. Full token fee exemption is granted.

Requirements:

Specific Requirements (in addition to the Basic Requirements):

  1. 1st and 2nd Semester Grade 12 Senior High School Card (for Freshmen) or Report of Grades of the previous semester
  2. No Failed, Officially and Unofficially Dropped, and Incomplete ratings
  3. Endorsement (list to be submitted by the Center for National Service Training Program (CNSTP))
  4. Has rendered significant contribution to the University/City of Makati

Dance Troupe Token Fee Exemption Grant is awarded to students who are members of the UMak Dance Troupe as endorsed by the Center of Culture and the Arts (CCA). Full token fee exemption is granted.

Requirements:

Specific Requirements (in addition to the Basic Requirements):

  1. 1st and 2nd Semester Grade 12 Senior High School Card (for Freshmen) or Report of Grades of the previous semester
  2. No Failed, Officially and Unofficially Dropped, and Incomplete ratings
  3. Endorsement (list to be submitted by the Center for Culture & Arts (CCA))
  4. Has rendered significant contribution to the University/City of Makati

Dean’s Lister Full Token Fee Exemption Grant is awarded to both Makati and non-Makati residents who have obtained a GWA within 1.00 to 1.25, with no grades lower than 2.00 in all academic courses except in P.E. and NSTP, during the previous semester. The same applies if the last semester attended is the Summer Semester but the GWA obtained during that semester may have to be averaged with the GWA obtained during the Second Semester. This type of token fee exemption requires at least one (1) semester in UMak College’s undergraduate level.

Requirements:

Specific Requirements (in addition to the Basic Requirements):

  1. Must have enrolled under a College program in the University of Makati during the previous Semester
  2. Report of Grades of the previous semester (please include the 2nd Semester grade if Summer Semester is the latest Semester attended)
  3. GWA must be within 1.00 to 1.25, with no grades lower than 2.50 in P.E. and N.S.T.P. and no grades lower than 2.00 in all the other academic courses
  4. Must have carried a full load as prescribed by his/her College during the previous Semester

Dean’s Lister Partial Token Fee Exemption Grant is awarded to both Makati and non-Makati residents who have obtained a GWA within 1.26 to 1.75, with no grades lower than 2.00 in all academic courses except in P.E. and NSTP, during the previous semester. The same applies if the last semester attended is the Summer Semester but the GWA obtained during that semester may have to be averaged with the GWA obtained during the Second Semester. This type of token fee exemption requires at least one (1) semester in UMak College’s undergraduate level.

Requirements:

Specific Requirements (in addition to the Basic Requirements):

  1. Must have enrolled under a College program in the University of Makati during the previous Semester
  2. Report of Grades of the previous semester (please include the 2nd Semester grade if Summer Semester is the latest Semester attended)
  3. GWA must be within 1.26 to 1.75, with no grades lower than 2.50 in P.E. and N.S.T.P. and no grades lower than 2.00 in all the other academic courses
  4. Must have carried a full load as prescribed by his/her College during the previous Semester

This special study grant is awarded to students displaced by the armed conflict in Marawi City. Full token fee exemptions for undergraduate programs are granted.

NROTC Cadet Officer Token Fee Exemption Grant is awarded to students who are officers of the UMak NROTC as endorsed by the Center for NSTP. Full token fee exemption is granted.

PEP Squad Token Fee Exemption Grant is awarded to students who are members of the UMak PEP Squad as endorsed by the Athletic Development Center (ADC). Full token fee exemption is granted.

The granting of this tuition/token fee exemption is pursuant to Sec. 32 (h) of the Implementing Rules and Regulations of the Republic Act No. 9442. Applicants must be residents of Makati and endorsed by the UMAK Center for Inclusive Education (CIE). Full token fee exemptions for undergraduate programs are granted.

USC Officer Partial Token Fee Exemption Grant is awarded to students who are Non-Executive Board Committee members of the University Student Council as endorsed by the Office of the Vice President for Student Services and Community Development.

Full tuition fee exemptions for graduate programs are granted.

  2. Certificate of being a Cooperating Teacher

The granting of this tuition/token fee exemption is pursuant to Art. 203 (1) of the Implementing Rules and Regulations of the Local Government Code of 1991. Full tuition/token fee exemptions for graduate and undergraduate programs are granted.

Requirements:

This special study grant is pursuant to Makati City Ordinance No. 2012-061 Rev. 3 and is awarded to the City Government of Makati Employees and Makati Public School Teachers who have rendered at least three years of continuous service. Unified Scholarship for UMak Employees Tier 3 (CCAPS Special Programs – 50%) is awarded to bonafide fulltime-casual employees of UMak who rendered three (3) years to less than five (5) years of service as determined by the UMak Human Resource Management Office. Partial (50%) tuition/token fee exemption is granted.

Partial (25%) tuition/token fee exemption is granted.

Unified Scholarship for UMak Employees Tier 5 (CCAPS Special Programs – 15%) is awarded to bonafide fulltime-casual employees of UMak who rendered one (1) year to less than two (2) years of service as determined by the UMak Human Resource Management Office. Partial (15%) tuition/token fee exemption is granted.
