Assistant Professor Albert de Castro Chan is a Certified Public Accountant with nearly four decades of teaching experience. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Colegio de San Juan de Letran Manila.
In his extensive teaching career, Asst. Prof. Chan has contributed to shaping future leaders at distinguished institutions such as the University of Asia and the Pacific, San Beda University, Miriam College, Lyceum of the Philippines University, St. Scholastica’s College of Manila, De La Salle College of St. Benilde to name a few.
In addition to his experience in the academe, he gained significant industry experience locally and internationally. His roles include Portfolio Accountant at Growth Work Capital in Toronto, Ontario, Trust Analyst at Alderwoods Group in Burnaby, British Columbia, Accounting Assistant at the National Ballet of Canada in Toronto, Ontario, and Controller at YWA International and Blued Marketing Corporation.
Formerly, he was the Chair of the Accounting, Tax, Law, and Computer Data Management Program at Lyceum of the Philippines University and the Accountancy Program at St. Paul University Manila. Furthermore, he conducted specialized lectures for business executives, for instance, “Accounting for Non-Accountants” at the University of Asia and the Pacific.
