As part of the University of Makati School of Law‘s yearly tradition to strengthen fellowship and camaraderie among UMak SOL students, professors, and Admin, the SOLGOV Executive Board headed the SOL Night 2022, with the theme Enchanted Forest, held last December 20, 2022, at the 11th Floor, Cafeteria of HPSB.

To kick off the program, Atty. Jord Valenton and Ms. Naye Hedriana led the invocation with their rendition of “I will sing,” followed by Dean Jay Layug’s Opening Remarks. Throughout the event, there were raffle giveaways and prizes given to the lucky winners who attended the event. Among which were cash prizes, planners, Katinko sets, coffee sets, tablets sponsored by Senator Nancy Binay, and a lunch/dinner buffet for two at Corniche, Diamond Hotel from Hon. Jejomar Binay. The program also gained momentum thanks to the exciting games in which students and professors from UMak SOL participated.

Without the stellar performances of our brilliant professors and the heartfelt singing and dancing of the UMak SOL students, the Enchanted Forest experience would not be complete. Ms. Naye Hedriana of JD3, accompanied by Atty. Jord Valenton, on the keyboard, sang “Forevermore.” Also, Ms. Moai Larita of JD4 gave her rendition of Speechless. Lastly, Mr. Juny Velez and Ms. Ana Margarita Perez, both from JD4, and Ms. Genelyn Dimasuay from JD3, grooved to the beat in their stellar dance number. Atty. Angel Chona Grace Valero-Nuñez initiated the singing of “12 Days of Christmas,” which the UMak SOL professors followed. The UMak SOL students also showcased their singing prowess through a pass-the-mic challenge. Indeed, everyone enjoyed an enchanting night throughout the program.

The event would not be possible without the help of the people who contributed their time and effort to make the event successful: the event hosts, game masters, performers, tech team, creatives team, decors team, registration committee, food and drinks committee, photographers, tabulators, usherettes, Mr. and Ms. SOL candidates and judges, stage directors, UMak SOL admin and SOLGOV Executive Board to the UMak offices which extended their support and assistance. The SOLGOV Executive Board is likewise grateful to the sponsors and donors who extended their financial assistance and provided tokens as raffle prizes.
