The College of Science Psychology Department, with special participation of Center for Guidance and Counseling Services, recently organized a comprehensive seminar on Psychological First Aid for 2nd and 3rd-year psychology students enrolled in Disaster and Mental Health, and Gender and Sexuality courses. The event, held at the UMak Auditorium on May 9, 2024, was attended by a diverse audience, including faculty members from various colleges and institutes.
The seminar aimed to equip attendees with essential principles of Psychological First Aid applicable in different scenarios such as disasters and traumatic events. The discussions included strategies and techniques for providing immediate support and assistance in times of crisis.
