IN PHOTOS: Herons Welcomes Japanese Students from Doshisha, Ritsumeikan, and Kwansei-Gakuin Universities

“ADOBO IS GOOD!”
The University of Makati warmly welcomes students and lecturers from Japan for the 7th Japan-Philippines Language and Cultural Exchange Program spearheaded by the Center for Internationalization, Linkages, and Placement (CILP) and the College of Tourism and Hospitality Management (CTHM). The UMak partner for this exchange program is the University CO-OP Business Association with the following member universities: Doshisha University, Ritsumeikan University, and Kwansei-Gakuin University.
During the cooking demo as part of introducing Filipino cuisine, one of the Japanese participants remarked “Adobo is good!”, expressing her indulgence to our favorite Filipino dish, chicken adobo.
Evidently, they all had fun doing the activities prepared by CILP. They continued their previously established friendship as they had an opportunity to get to know each other during the virtual intercultural dialogue sessions held last August 31, 2023.
