Makati Heritage Studies Joins the Makati Cultural Affairs Office in Celebrating Indigenous People’s Month

As October has been designated as the National Indigenous Peoples’ Month, Makati City launched the Haligi ng Hirayang Filipino Exhibit led by Mayor Abby Binay, Vice Mayor Monique Lagdameo, and the International Relations Department (IRD) and Museum and Cultural Affairs Office (MCAO) Officer-in-Charge Maria Conception Yabut, at Museo ng Makati last October 20, 2023.

This event served as the National Commission for Culture and the Arts’ flagship exhibit, highlighting Gawad sa Manlilikha ng Bayan (GAMABA) or National Living Treasures awardees such as Magdalena Gamayo from Ilocos Norte, Teofilo Garcia from Abra, Estelita Bantilan from Saranggani, and Alonzo Saclag from Kalinga.
