MCAO-Makati Heritage Studies (MHS) Finally Launched Makati Walking Tour, Unveiling Makati City’s Legacy

MCAO and Makati Heritage Studies have officially launched the much anticipated Makati Walking Tour after months of meticulous planning and preparation. The walking tours were place on November 11, 25, December 2, and 9, 2023, with morning and afternoon sessions. This long-awaited effort intends to highlight Makati City’s rich cultural heritage, enabling MHS students to take an immersive trip through the city’s compelling past.

The tour route has been carefully curated to include a range of noteworthy landmarks, each of which offers a unique perspective on the city’s history. Participants in the morning session visited St. Alphonsus Anne Liguori Church, Magallanes, Makati City, home of the 14-station cross sculptures made by renowned local artists such as Imaw, Olina, and Abueva. Meanwhile, the afternoon tour focused on Makati City’s Central Business District (CBD). Along with these notable landmarks were Ayala Triangle Gardens, Ayala Museum, Makati Stock Exchange Building, Ayala Avenue, Greenbelt complex, Glorietta, and Blackbird at the Nielson Field.
