Palawan State University visits UMak

11 April 2024 – Students and faculty members from Palawan State University came to UMak to learn the school’s best practices, particularly in entrepreneurship focusing on agribusiness and innovation.

University Secretary, Ms. Juvy Hermosura, thanked the guests for choosing the university to be part of their benchmarking activities. Then, a short video showing the university’s history and background was presented.

Center for Integrated Communications Director, Ms. Lee Ugaddan, introduced the school’s officials, and the current colleges, institutions, vocational programs, law school and senior high school.

She showcased the student services, the technology learning hub, and the digital library. She also explained the optimal procedures for students’ job training placement.

College of Business and Financial Science (CBFS) Program Head, Ms. Adelaida Pangantihon stated the college’s core values.

She then presented their best practices, particularly for the curriculum’s enhancements and research endeavors.  And also their approach to retaining high-quality faculty and innovating learning facilities.

Ms. Pangantihon expressed their commitment to continuous improvement and strengthened partnerships.

One of the CBFS students, Karl Vincent Borja,  one of the members of the HWork which won 1st place during the RISE final pitch held last April 1, 2024, shared his experiences creating business proposals and participating in pitching competitions.

Then both UMak and Palawan State University exchanged souvenir items for the successful benchmarking visit.
