Ronin with UMak organize TBL Rise: The Final Pitch
01 April 2024 – The Tomas B. Lopez Resiliency Innovation Sustainability & Entrepreneurship Certificated Program (TBL-RISE) and Ronin Group in cooperation with UMak and the College of Business and Financial Science organized the TBL RISE: THE FINAL PITCH. The Top 5 finalists, Sunny Enterprise, Medika, HWork, LifeMed and Arkila, pitched their business ideas.
University President Prof. Elyxzur Ramos warmly welcomed everyone, and wished the participants good luck in their presentations.
Judges from various fields and companies introduced themselves and hoped that the teams would have the best of luck.
Though the City Mayor could not be physically present, she encouraged the groups in her message, “To the participating teams, give it your best shot. Let make this event a starting point for ground-breaking ventures that will lead us towards a more progressive, inclusive and empowered society. ” – Mayor Abby Binay.
The 5 home grown start-ups presented their proposed innovations which provides solution to some of today’s common problems. Each team shared the planning and the help that it will impart to their target audience.
After thorough deliberation, HWork won the 1st place, granting them Php 300,000 to fund their business proposal. The application they created focuses on finding services depending on the customer’s needs.
Judge Joseph De Leon, challenged everyone in identifying their uniqueness so that once they are out to the world, they make things better.
Center for Linkages Career Development and Placement Director, Ms. Cynthia Jose, encouraged all students to participate on the upcoming TBL-RISE competition.
The event concluded with a group photo of winners along with the judges.
