Schools Division of Sorsogon benchmarks in UMak
10 May 2024 – The Schools Division of Sorsogon composed of teachers and heads, visited UMak to gain significant insights and learnings from the Higher School ng UMak (HSU).
Center for Integrated Communications Director, Ms. Lee Ugaddan showed the brief history and profile of the university through a video presentation.
HSU College Secretary, Professor Tomasa Quiñones welcomed the visitors on behalf of HSU Dean, Dr. Ma. Corazon Benosa. She hoped that the HSU’s best practices would immensely contribute to their schools.
In an audio visual presentation, HSU shared their core values and designated officials. They introduced the track offerings and learning management system specifically their e-library.
Further in the presentation, they showcased their developed modules, integrative assessments and curriculum enhancement. They also highlighted their students’ achievements, the graduates currently employed in the university and faculty development trainings.
Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Cheryll Bermudo stated how overwhelmed they were with the city’s facilitation of basic education. She also expressed gratitude for the warm welcome of the university. They then presented certificates of appreciation for the school and the university president, Prof. Elyxzur Ramos.
During the campus tour, the visitors were fascinated with school’s equipment. They also displayed their amazement of the availability of the facilities for the students.
As the tour concluded, the guests gave their thanks for accommodating their visit and showing around the campus.
