UMak Congratulates 2022 Bar Exam Passers, with 88.89% Passing Rate

The whole UMak Community congratulates the second batch of the University of Makati School of Law. On April 14, 2023, the Supreme Court of the Philippines announced that 3,992 out of 9,183 (43.47%) successfully passed the bar examinations held on November 9, 13, 16, and 20.

8 of 9 examinees passed the bar examinations. Among the passers are Atty. King Noe A. Badong, Atty. Jenica B. Eva, Atty. Ferlan L. Farinas, Atty. Mel Kenneth A. Mabute, Atty. Nelson C. Macabocsit, Atty. Jacinto D. Sales, Jr., Atty. Gabrielle Ann F. Saguiran, and Atty. Nesie B. Volante.

Bar Examination 2022

UMak School of Law scored 88.89% Passing rate, also Top 2 among the schools with 10 or fewer bar takers.

The Bar Examinations 2022 was headed by Associate Justice Alfredo Benjamin S. Caguioa. The simultaneous digital and regionalized bar exams were administered in fourteen (14) local testing centers in Luzon (De La Salle University of Manila – Taft, San Beda University, Manila Adventist College, University of the Philippines, Ateneo de Manila University, Saint Louis University Baguio City, University of Nueva Caceres, Naga City and De La Salle University Lipa), Visayas (University of San Carlos Cebu City, University of Cebu and Dr. V. Orestes Romualdez Education Foundation Tacloban City) and Mindanao (Ateneo de Zamboanga University, Xavier University, and Ateneo de Davao University).

SC conducted the exams through Examplify. Examplify is a secure examination delivery program in which examinees can use their devices in their preferred venue, monitored by in-person proctors and closed-circuit television cameras inside exam rooms.

Supreme Court released the Bar Exams results after the special en banc session on Friday, April 14, 2023. The list of passers was streamed via Supreme Court’s official YouTube Channel.

The oath-taking and signing of the Roll of Attorneys of the new lawyers will be on May 2, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., at the PICC.
