UMak Partners with FilPass To Encourage Innovation in Records Management and Security

FilPass and the University of Makati (UMak) formally signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on September 22, 2023. The partnership aims to provide tamperproof verifiable credentials to the students and employees of the University of Makati, making transactions more safe and efficient.

FilPass is known for developing a digital platform that securely maintains credentials for individuals and institutions. They utilize blockchain technology to promote data immutability and transparency. With the MOA, FilPass commits to providing a document management system to significantly improve transaction processes in the university. Also, this will help eliminate fake claims and documents.

The document management system that will be incorporated is expected to speed up the backend processes of the registrar, finance, human resources, and alumni departments. UMak is honored to be the first LCU to collaborate with FilPass, furthering its goal of being a trailblazer among locally funded higher education institutions. By integrating FilPass’ cutting-edge and innovative platform, UMak hopes to advance its overall credibility and trustworthiness.
