Welcome to the Institute of Accountancy

The Bachelor of Science in Accountancy program offers students comprehensive, conceptual, and practical knowledge in financial accounting, taxation, auditing, management advisory services, accounting information systems, and cost management. The program prepares students for careers in public practice, government service, and commerce and industry. It also delivers adequate preparation for graduate programs in accounting, business and law. With the finishing point of the program, a student will have the technical competence of a candidate for the Philippine CPA board examination.

Vision

We aim to be a change maker in impelling the accountancy profession by teaching our students, engaging in relevant research and outreach, and being involved with the profession.

Mission

The mission of the Institute of Accountancy at the University of Makati is to

Provide a service-oriented accounting education, adequately preparing accounting professionals and future leaders in national and international settings; and
Impel the Accountancy profession through relevant research and outreach. We will attain these goals by advocating
excellence, providing innovative programs, and promoting an ethical and legal financial environment.

Plan and execute sustainable policies and procedures; and
Provide extension service to the community of Makati, aligned with the call of the profession.
