Prof. Jennifer Jupson-Laluna, began her career when she was assigned to manage the High School and Grade School Library in Woodridge College. As a strong advocate of the transforming the main library to the 21st century standards, she believes that library personnel should be the same mindset, and from that advocacy, she took up her Bachelor of Library and Information Science as a second course at the University of Perpetual Help System in Binan, Laguna and graduated with honors in 2011. She was awarded the Best in Thesis in 2011 and promoted as Head Librarian right after her graduation. She passed both Librarian Licensure Examination and Board for Professional Teachers in the same year. As a promoter of literacy and learning, she believes that libraries should continually be developed and evolve into a more encouraging environment for innovation, and for that she decided to widen her experience as an innovative leader, when she accepted the position as Library Director of the Philippine School of Interior Design in Taguig and Rosario College of Business Arts and Tourism in Dasmarinas, Cavite. She also became the President of the Cavite Librarians Association Inc. (2016-2017). She finished her master’s degree at the University of the Philippines–Diliman. In June 2017, she became the Chief Librarian of Perpetual Help College of Manila to fulfill her promise to serve and give back to her alma mater and also taught Research in both the Senior High School and Colleges. Her thesis titled” Improving Space Utilizing Design Charrette” won 2nd Best Thesis at the Philippine Association of Academic and Research Librarians on May 2019.
