The Center for Integrated Communications or CIC, which started as the Corporate Communications
Center, is the University’s primary media and publications arm.
The Center implements processes and policies that safeguard the UMak visual identity and brand. By working hand-in-hand with different units of the University and City Government of Makati, CIC facilitates, supports, and promotes university-wide initiatives and projects.

A homegrown UMak graduate, Arjun initiates and leads the overall brand design enhancement of the University. He also spearheaded institutionalizing video materials and standardizing digital and print media materials. His expertise in motion, graphics, and visual design was highly applauded as he transformed the University’s branding since day 1. Before joining CIC, Arjun joins a pool of preferred multi-talented freelancers serving known clients in advertising.
He was recognized and won first place in the 2023 City Government of Makati’s PRAISE Search for City Government Outstanding Level II Employee.
JR was one of the pioneers in embarking @umak.edu.ph institution-wide Google for Education suite as one of the trainers in 2013 as a student leader.
After graduating with a degree in Computer Science from UMak in 2014, he became a web developer, digital media specialist, and community manager for different mobile brands such as SKK Mobile and Xiaomi Philippines. He was a formerly digital media producer and a live-stream content manager for Eat Bulaga! for 3 years, who also helped the production in initiating IT transformations during the COVID-19 pandemic.
After 10 years, Jay-ar is back in UMak to help with the university’s digital media and brand initiatives. First, he was the project manager of the current website of the University of Makati and co-authored the University’s brand book launched in 2023. He’s now an event creative for media productions and communications and mentoring students keen on IT and media production.
He was nominated in the 2023 City Government of Makati’s PRAISE Search for City Government Outstanding Level II Employee.
The Center for Integrated Communications endeavors to inspire the UMak community through forging meaningful connections in its services, publications, and productions for the continuous upliftment of the Heron spirit.
In line with the UMak’s vision and mission, the Center for Integrated Communications shall aid molding competent and skilled professionals by creating informative content, streamlining communication enhancement initiatives, and strengthening the UMak brand to support the students’ learning journey experiences towards a holistic growth of the future builders of this land.
