The Center for Integrated Communications or CIC, which started as the Corporate Communications
Center, is the University’s primary media and publications arm.
The Center implements processes and policies that safeguard the UMak visual identity and brand. By working hand-in-hand with different units of the University and City Government of Makati, CIC facilitates, supports, and promotes university-wide initiatives and projects.
Lourlene Joy Dado Ugaddan
Director, Center for Integrated Communications
Lourlene Joy Dado Ugaddan is a former Global Communications Trainer in ePerformax Contact Center. She also has a work experience as a customer service representative, Recruitment Promoter, and Recruitment Officer in the same BPO company. After almost 8 years of working in the BPO industry, she found her way to pursue one of the things she is passionate about which is public service. She joined the University of Makati in 2014, as a Training Officer under the Human Resources Management Office. Has been part of the Quality Management Development Center as the Head for Accreditation, and concurrently as the Executive Assistant for the Vice President for Administration, before she was designated as the Director of the Corporate Communications Center which is now known as the Center for Integrated Communications.
Dir. Ugaddan is also a Philippine Navy Reservist and ranked as an Enlisted Personnel, Chief Petty Officer. Concurrently, she attends as training staff and the adviser of the Corps of Sponsors of the 270th Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps Unit of the University of Makati.
Completed her Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication at Adamson University in 2005 she has also completed 32 units of her Master’s Degree in Public Administration at the University of Makati and currently completing her Thesis Paper writing. She also passed the Professional Civil Service Exam in 2018
A homegrown UMak graduate, Arjun initiates and leads overall brand design enhancement of the University. He also spearheaded institutionalizing video materials and standardizing digital and print media materials. Prior joining to CIC, Arjun joins a pool of multi-talented freelancers serving known clients in advertising.
Also a homegrown UMak talent, JR is currently helping out UMak’s digital media and brand initiatives. Leads also the transformation of the current website of University of Makati. Formerly produces digital and livestream content on Eat Bulaga! (Legit Dabarkads era), managing a community in Xiaomi PH and overall digital media officer of SKK Mobile
Prior joining CIC, Adrian is a concurrent adviser of UMak’s Student Multimedia Organization. He is also teaching at the Higher School ng UMak.
The Center for Integrated Communications endeavors to inspire the UMak community through forging meaningful connections in its services, publications, and productions for the continuous upliftment of the Heron spirit.
In line with the UMak’s vision and mission, the Center for Integrated Communications shall aid molding competent and skilled professionals by creating informative content, streamlining communication enhancement initiatives, and strengthening the UMak brand to support the students’ learning journey experiences towards a holistic growth of the future builders of this land.
